I am convinced I posted a Facebook status/check in on a particular date and even remember getting likes for it. However I noticed this status is not on my wall and doesn't appear in my Activity feed. I downloaded my Facebook data and there's no mention of it there either. Am I going mad? I would swear I posted it. Does anyone know what could have happened to it?

Just to add, several friends have confirmed they saw this post which makes it even stranger.

FB does make it hard to find stuff. There's no question that things get buried. So you might have to dig deeper for it. If it was incorrectly deleted or lost in a server hiccup, you can put in a report with FB but don't expect fast service (or a human to look at your complaint).

try using FB's search feature.
i was able to find a post i did two years ago that was buried on a business page...

type your name and the name of the theater, or any other key word that was in the post...
