I will be receiving my MS in Biomedical Sciences this December (2004). A local Community College is searching for a science instructor and I have applied (I am qualified). I think I will get an interview and I would like to start preparing. I really need suggestions on how to prepare! Also, no salary was mentioned and I haven't a clue as to what type of salary to expect. I am sure it is a full time position. The location is in Tennessee.

Welcome. They are sure to ask you about your teaching experience. Have you had any?
Having a master's in science may make you qualified to teach but it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be a good teacher.

Regarding the salary, I would ask around and even call other colleges and ask what a beginning teacher's salary might be.

Do they have a web site. Our local community college used to list the starting salary's of many of their teaching positions.

Good luck.
