There is only one song I really and truly hate: Tom Sawyer by Rush. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is about the song that makes my head hurt so much but I do have a true aversion to it.

Almost all that passes for today's music and song. It is unintelligible, unadulterated noise.

Reeeeg, Brown eye is immensely popular. We have to play it every night. Honestly, if I had a quarter for every time...

I guess I am. However, I can't help remembering when music was music not noise. Try listening to some of the music of the big band era.

you're preaching to the choir Goldy. I love my Big Band small band...I have my Krupa, O'Day and so on. But to turn away from modern music without trying to listen...to me is a crime. There is so much good music...at all times.

I'm sorry...I was thinking back to my high school chemistry days.
Yes I do. It is difficult music to absorb for a lot of people. But in essence it's a story telling accompanied by rhythm. The melody is almost unimportant.

Oh dang! Somebody doesn't love Van Morrison?
Janet Jackson music irritates me. Rap, too.
Disco--hated it.
Techno is irritating to me. Tried to like scat and jazz, but alas, I jis cain't. Guess I like more flowy stuff, compared to jittery.
