Open Water

Edit (Moderator): Moved from Travel and Culture to Wilderness and Ecology.

Came back from "Open Water" movie last night.

It was disturbing, scary.

Not Freddy Crueger scary, not even Blair Witch scary (well maybe little).

Just scary because those things actually do happen. That is much worse then being lost in the desert, or woods, or cornfield.

Would anyone of you know what to do in a situation like that? What tools one would need to get to the land?

I realize that this will probably never happen to any of us, but I am still curious to know...

just in case

If they had kept swimming toward that buoy (and climbed on), they might have made it. Other than that, they were pretty much dead within an hour after the boat left them.

A chilling movie.
