What are is/your favorite documentary(ies)? Do you have a favorite subgenre [true crime; nature and science; religion; self-improvement; politics; history; culture and art; etc....] ? Any particular subgenre that you dread watching the most?

Arguing the World is still one of my top documentary films, also enjoyed Harlan County U.S.A.. I've watched them both a few times.

Whereas I like most well done documentaries, I'm partial to historical, sociological and crime/criminal themes.

Oh, and those related too coal, steel or trains!
