JoeFX, in four dimesions, neither time nor space is relevent. It's theoretical, and many people have different ideas about it's meanings and possibilities:

Oh, thanks Cav.
Don't know why I thought directions instead of dimensions.
[edited to add this:]
My ladder is a tall, tall ladder that ends where very few people are. It's just like a normal ladder but instead of the steps being at equal distance from each other, some are nearly in the same place and others are very far apart. These large spaces between steps give me fear, so most of the time I stay on that step before leaping and grabbing the next one.
Oh, my Gawd, it's the floss on the moss.
Thank God you're here and off that soul train.

You know, a train track is just a ladder lying down.
A ladder lying down is a lot easier to climb too.
But which end is the top?
I am so enjoying myself. I feel like a kid in a ladder shop.
If a ladder became a disc jockey would it be a turntable ladder?
or is a wicked step-ladder any relation to wicked step-mother?

If a ladder became a disc jockey, it might become a turntable ladder, or simply adopt some vowels and become louder. "Wicked", whether regarding step-ladders or step-mothers has two meanings. It could be 'wicked' as in cruel, or 'wicked' as in cool. It's all about perception.
My ladder has springs on some rungs, so that I fly - and gaps where I fall again....
We're all made of self-replicating ladders.

Help! I've lost my double helix emoticon!
Twisting, spiraling, a lattice of ladders, a bouquet of letters and matrix of genes.
Climbing or falling
Silently calling
Starting and stalling
The rungs of unseen.
This has been a beautiful evening.
Goodnight from Flo.
You really want to know what my ladder looks like. Well, it is made of wood. I built it a long time ago. I must have taken it for granted and left it outside or something.
The problem is, the ladder that used to be so easy to climb, slowly rotted. Now, every time I try to use it, I take one step up and the well used and aging wooden step breaks, with all that weight I carry around. The wood is getting old and not so sturdy. I keep finding myself taking one step up, only for that ladder to crush right under my feet, with the weight of the world I insist on draging around with me. I usually end up about two steps back.
What is the problem, the weight of the world, which is too much for any ladder to carry or is it that I took the ladder for granted for too long, not taking care of it? I haven't figured that out yet!

You can get a new ladder anytime you like.
Just get rid of the peices of the old ladder so you don't trip on your way to the new one.
How do you deal with a couple of rungs missing in the middle of the ladder?

You acknowledge the missing rungs and welcome the challenge of taking a big step.
It will also make your hands stronger as you will need them to help steady yourself.
Missing rungs will teach agility and refine the climbers skill.
My ladder is short a few rungs.
