just had one of these

with banana slices, apple wedges and a cup of tea

not gourmet, just a good old-fashioned glazed cake donut. can't be beat when you can grab a box of 4 for $2 Canajun, so $1.40 US. 35 cents a donut is pretty damn good, considering the quality.

Whnever I got to JAckson Pawk. I could count on Cafe du Monde always bein opaan. I GAROWNTEE.

Some nights we would make braunsweiger sammiches on Split open (powered sugarless) beignets.

I'd read of this travesty earlier today.

This donut would have had potential if they had not boneheadedly decided to infuse strawberry flavor into it.

What next, a garlic and crab legs donut with rose water creme donut?
(either with or without a caramel drizzle)

There is an independent donut shop in Tomball, run by some very courteous Asians, that has the best donuts I have experienced since I was a kid.
