"tubes" can be many things, from various spcies of ancient annelids to "fulgurites" ( fused sand and sandstones rsulting from lightning hits), all the way to gases in ropy lava. Wed need a picture but answer this

1Is the geology of the area (you said it was sandstone), reported to be water deposited sandstones or beach/dune deposits?

2Are the sandstones made up of largw "pebbles" or finer grained warn grains of sands?

Better yet, take some pictures with something man -made in the picture to show the sizes of the rock slabs.

Heres a pretty complete geology rport of the area and th rock Formations. The section on the "fossils" is pretty limited but iof you can pinpoint the typs pf rocks and the Formations from the rport, we cn pretty much figure out what these things are.
