Just returned from a 13-day boat tour of the Balkans

Well, I'm back! Spent 13 days from Sept 5 to Sept 17 from Budapest to Bucharest. It was another fantastic trip! (What more can I say?) Been to Budapest before, but with three more days, I've gotten a good feel for that city. We stayed at the Budapest Novotel. One day on our free time, I walked the opposite direction from the downtown area, and ran into the hotel where I stayed about 15 years ago, the Best Western. We were treated to a nice private concert at the National Opera House made famous by the James Bond movie. Our visit to Croatia was an eye opener; most buildings in Vukovar are stilled bombed out with bullet holes from the 1991-1997 war. They are slowly rebuilding. With continue later with another post.
