Don't mistake my intent in posting my view. I still consider Pence as big a nut job as they come. Here is a reason among many why:

I don't believe for a moment that you have any love for Pence.

@DrewDad,
http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2016/10/05/mike-pence-donald-trump-denial-debate-jason-sattler/91607560/

Quote:
Donald Trump Denial has become as common in the Republican Party as its more famous and slightly sweatier cousin, Climate Change Denial. We’ve now seen some of the hottest denial on record from Mike Pence.

Pence has spent the last few decades proving that he will almost literally defend anything. Up until 2000, he said “smoking doesn’t kill.” In 2002, he told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that condoms are "very, very poor protection against sexually transmitted diseases."

In 2004, he went to the floor of the House of Representatives to declare that despite the media's attempt to "minimize" the news, “weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq.” But he was referring to two old munitions containing sarin and mustard gas and dating from before 1991. Stockpiles of weapons suggesting that Iraq had restarted its WMD program, the reason the Bush Administration said we went to war, were never found.

And in 2015, he refused to admit that his state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act allowed discrimination against gay people, even though the law allowed — nay, was designed to allow — discrimination against gay people.

With this impressive array of deceptions in his quiver, Pence bravely attempted and succeeded in doing the nearly impossible — he defended Trump at Tuesday night's vice presidential debate. And he did it by pretending that the Trump we’ve grown to know, and of whom we disapprove at a rate of around 59%, just doesn’t exist.

Pence repeatedly denied things that Trump definitely said, contradicting not only his Democratic opponent but also the existence of videotape itself, the memories of millions of Americans and things Trump will probably repeat tomorrow.

But you don’t defend cigarettes by defending cancer. You do it by pretending that you’re offended that someone would even bring cancer up.

Mike Pence would not defend Donald Chump during debate.
Here's video proof of multiple lies told by Mike Pence during debate.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Pence might be the Republican top of the ticket by the end of the weekend. Republicans are meeting in Washington right now to decide what to do ostensibly if Trump decides to step down for saying that he can grab any woman's pussy-Trump's word-he wants because he's a star. Realistically, you know that means what offer can they make to Trump to make him step down. The Republicans will lose with Pence, but there just doesn't seem to be a bottom to how far the GOP can fall if they keep Trump on the ballot. And you know there's more stuff about Trump coming out.

Don't be so sure. It might be the case that either party could put a golden retriever at the top of its ticket and the dog would win. That's how hated both candidates are. (I don't think Hillary deserves the hate, but she's getting it.) I hope Donny has the self-respect and integrity to see his campaign through.

Both candidates might be unpopular, (both sides specialize in making you hate the other side), but Trump was more unpopular than Hillary. Now that everyone is hearing about how Trump figures his being a big star means he can grab any woman's pussy-his word-anytime he wants is being broadcast all over the place his popularity among undecideds is going to take a hit. And Trump is behind Hillary, he needed more undecideds than she does. In two way matchups, Hillary was only 2 points away from a majority before this incident broke. This pussy-grabbing thing should put her over the top. Check the chart for the last month:

I just want to reiterate a great point you made. It's worth repeating. Yes both candidates are seen as being unpopular. Their level of unpopularity is not the same. It is extremely important to point out that difference. Donald trump has been consistently more unpopular.

@Real Music,
Very true. And now with the new video showing how Trump sizes up women he deals with, he's about to scale new heights of unpopularity with female voters heretofore undreamed of.

@Finn dAbuzz,
You never know about Trump stepping down. Republicans really know how to play hardball. Trump seems to have lived his life feeling he's invulnerable and can get away with anything, but he's never been on a stage this big before. The GOP might have done some checking and come up with some financial, legal or even personal stuff that might land Trump in the hoosegow if it came out. That might convince him.

@Blickers,
There's always Breaking News of varying veracity across the innernet, but the latest states the Republican leadership is trying to oust Trump now. There's also an article on Schwarzenegger's statement that he will not be voting for the Republican candidate.

He never will. To do so amounts to being a "loser." He will never admit to being a loser.

He'll take the party down in flames before he quits.

Every Republican that feels the need to announce they will not vote for their party's nominee, has a special place in Hell.
