Can anyone tell me in a simple way how to post an image? I've been trying to post one on the 'Brit Royal Family and Nazis' thread, but it has just come up with txt...and what's a URL?

I know you all probably know this, but remember that I joined A2K as a novice computer user.

I've learned loads of things since I've been a member - much more than the PC for Dummies book!

I've been thinking about an Avatar Revolution. Trying to get everybody dressed up in a theme all at the same time... perhaps just solid colors... or perhaps everybody just goes avatarless for a day... that would be pretty freaky.

Sarah,

Some images are able to be linked to directly from where they reside in the Internet. You then put the link between the [img][/img] code tags, and hit the "Preview" button to see if it worked. I'm not exactly sure why sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't ... Question

If all you see is text, you probably need to save the image to your hard drive (right click on the image and save), then use one of the image hosting services the guys provided links to above. Then post the link to the image there in the same manner as described above.

When I get on tinypic and I host my image, what do I do then?

Sara, you were almost there. You just need to paste the entire address. If you wan't:

It should look like this:

Code:[IMG]http://www.throneout.com/images/142.jpg[/IMG]

You were missing the http://... and you don't need a seperate host at all.
