whatever. i can just imagine your reaction if somebody was promenading around with an upside down american flag in their avatar...

i don't do what i don't want others to do. period. you do what you want. and, in turn, i'll think about that what i want.

i'm glad you're skipping the flag. it would make me cringe every single time i'd see it.

nope, i haven't. i'm not a fan of fanning nationalist sentiments of any sort. dishonoring national symbols (while i don't feel particularly attached to any - nationalism or even patriotism don't figure high on my list of priorities in life, in fact they make little sense to me) just seems silly, mean-spirited and antagonistic. why go there?

I like your new avatar Dag. All that fanning seems to have an opposite effect on me though. Wink

Jp, do you think you could make this one with motion?

That is going to be a tricky one sublime... it would have to be really small to fit within the 90 pixel requirement for width. I could try to do a panning thing so it starts on the left and pans across to the right side but I don't think I would be able to keep enough colors to meet the 6kb maximum and keep it recognizable. I'll give it a shot though.

I thought that might be a tall request, but since I have no idea how to do it I figured I'd ask.

Thanks for giving it a try.

Jp--

First try failed. The Hampsters told the Luddite that the picture had to be less than 6-whatever.

No luck.

I am growing more covetous as well as more nervous.

Did you resave it?

It is only 3.88kb... well below the maximum file size.

Jp--

Your PM advice obviously worked.

Strutting against a hazy sky, with a frolicking dog, I remain both indebted and admiring.

Hold your dominion.
