My understanding is that illegal immigrants are not allowed to receive welfare benefits.

Are U.S. born children of an illegal immigrant living in the same nuclear family allowed to receive welfare benefits?

@gollum,
Children born in the US are US citizens, and they are eligible for benefits.

@cicerone imposter,
cicerone imposter-

Thank you.

I guess as the parents are responsible for the child.

So, the parents could file a welfare application based on the child's and/or the parents' income and/or net worth and if the application was approved the benefits would be paid to the parents on behalf of the child.
