How do I insert a picture from my hard disk to my post ?

You don't, because it's a security hole.
But here's what you can do.
Upload your photo to any free site like an MSN site, such as The Raven's Realm. Link to the online image's thumbnail.
Some online sites do not work this way. Geocities doesn't, and neither do Snapfish and webshots, but MSN sites work so long they are public.
![http://www.xxxxxx.com/xxxxxx.jpg[/img ]" and the image didn't show up? Some websites don't allow their url's to be linked to. In other words, it wasn't your fault, you just need to find a picture that CAN be linked to.
