What is the True Culprit Behind War and Suffering? Can it be solved by man or politics? If so, how?

@snood,
Territory first, religion sometimes, politics all day everyday, no matter what people call it; often, retribution.

@ossobucotemp,
Man, the territorial animal, seems incapable of living in peace. Individuals and lesser groups may be peaceable, but they have generally lost out when jingoism rears its ugly head.

@BroRando,
Bro the basic trouble revolves around a lack of education in pol, meta, onto, rel, philo, etc, which incidentally hasta start earlier, maybe first grade

In many countries, esp mideast, it'll never happen owing to so many preconceptions and the power of rel. It'll never happen here owing to our failure to realize how smart little kids are but later how they're overwhelmed by their parents' or buddies' views

By the time we're teens it's too late

Your god telling his people to slaughter other peoples and make them suffer.

Getting rid of your god.

@InfraBlue,
Getting rid of all gods might save quite a few wars and killings.

@cicerone imposter,
I probably don't agree. Humans are territorial.
I used to be religious and was not any way a war monger, even while ten. Religions vary, and peoples' fears vary.

On more thought, fear may have some role in all the territory stuff.

@BroRando,
It may be what you call "dissolving,' but there are still billions who still believe in their religion and god.
There are still over four billion members of religions around the world.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes, understood. But Religion is losing her influence over the masses and is slowly being removed. Public Prayer is no longer allowed in Public Schools. Bibles are no longer allowed in Federal buildings and Courtrooms. Soon, Religious Holy Days will become extinct. The removal of religion is happening... it's a good thing! Something I look forward too with great anticipation. There can be no 'peace' until she is removed. Religion is a snare and racket!

@BroRando,
I don't think Christmas is going to disappear any time soon. Even nonchristian countries celebrate Christmas.

@cicerone imposter,
More and more people are becoming fed up with it. When people (supposedly so-called christians) find out that Christmas is actually Saturnalia, and that this Pagan Holy Day was adopted by the Christendom Sect (Catholicism) in 4th CE, they at first are shocked, then can't believe religion lied to them and somehow inserted Santa Claus and the pine tree into it. People are fed up with all the commercialism. More suicides are at Christmas time than any other holiday of the year. I wonder why? GREED! Yes, even NON-Christians celebrate it....
