In the Bible, you don't see Jesus insulting atheists.
You do see Jesus insulting religious hypocrites quite a bit (see Matthew 23 for example). If you are one of the religious hypocrites here who are spending all of your time attacking atheists, the Jesus of the Bible isn't happy with you.
If Jesus ever does come back, I suspect I would get along with Him better than you would (but then again, it wasn't Atheists who killed him.)
Atheists are real. Jesus - Not so much.
@edgarblythe,
Just to be fair Edgar (and you already know this) I am just as annoyed by Atheist hypocrisy.
@maxdancona,
I am annoyed by any hypocrisy. Also annoyed by all the atheist threads that are popping up here like spam on a Saturday night.
@edgarblythe,
Yeah... the anti-Atheist threads are by far the most annoying right now. I don't know why people who are supposed to be "the light of the world" are acting like such assholes.
@maxdancona,
I get your irritation, but you can ignore them.

Welcome to Able2Know, Finn. You must be new here. My name is Max.
@maxdancona,
The 'jesus' you suggest - Upon return (2nd coming) intends to destroy, not save.
Hence - 2nd coming "Jesus" is the 'antichrist', not 'christ'.
So many don't get this.
The 'rapture' will seperate the lambs from the destruction - The rest are truly f******d - Forever and ever.
Read the bible.
Not my opinion, btw.
@mark noble,
your opinion, bro. People have been expecting and predicting Jesus' return any day now for nearly 2000 years, often biweekly. He's never showed. Maybe, just maybe, he never will. Get used to it.
@mark noble,
Quote:The rest are truly f******d
I can't figure out what word fits here. Are we truly "financed"? Or is it that we are truly "famished"?
Just did a quick scan of religious posts and I see more anti religious threads and posts than I do anti atheist ones.
Not that either bothers me. I am glad that anyone finds the subject of God worth discussing.
@MontereyJack,
I 'clearly' stated, base of post - This is Not My opinion.
It is, nonetheless - Biblical (NT) interpretation.
I am not a christian.
Nor am I your 'bro'.
@maxdancona,
I don't care for counting asterisks - I try to avoid expletives.
You get the gist, Max.
Try appealing to the post, not the imagined audience-response.
@mark noble,
Two asterisks Mark. Just two asterisks. It's a four-letter word. It's not that hard.
Sorry, I don't find anything in your posts on this thread more interesting than the number of asterisks you are using in the expletives you are trying to avoid.
@maxdancona,
F****d is 6 letters.
Don't apologise.
But, when you have nothing to say - It's better to say nothing, perhaps.
@mark noble,
Gotcha Mark.
You do care about the number of asterisks! If you have anything more interesting to say, I would be happy to discuss it with you.
@maxdancona,
You assume that Jesus makes a break with the OT. He and His audience knew the Ps 14 The fool has said in his heart there is no God.
The atheists Jesus met were what are called 'practical atheists', those who just deny that God cares or notices or repays evil conduct
@maxdancona,
You never do make sense. The light of the world ?
