And it might never. Facebook continually works to change the look and feel of the site. This is to test out what will cause people to click on advertising more frequently and reliably, AKA the way Facebook makes money.

BTW, I don't recall this update at all. It's possible some of your friends got it as a test, and that test could be ongoing, but you're not getting it for whatever reason.

How does this update have anything to do with advertising?
I think its not testing, its a defenitive update because its out for almost a year, everyone has it. I saw even news on some inetrnet pages about the update.

Truth is, I don't think I have this either. Like I said, the site is pretty much constantly doing A/B testing as a means of determining whether you or I will linger on the site and click more.

Ah, now I see what you mean.

I do have it. Hmm - again - FB is constantly tweaking settings. I know my husband and I (and he uses a computer that is less than 10 feet away from mine and on the same network) sometimes get different views.

I was like several weeks or 1 month without going to facebook at the time when this update was released, maybe its because of that..
