Where do you live?

In my neck of the woods the Blue Mountain makes a big difference in climate, but I doubt that this is true for you.

Do you have a seacoast? A lake? A mountain?

well i live in hawaii if that helps

The ocean would be a pretty big factor, too. The effect of humid ocean air rising when it hits the mountains is what causes all of the rain.
