In 20 minutes I have to head for the vet with Cali to be spayed. I so hate doing this. I feel so guilty. Does anyone else feel this bad when they have their pets spayed?

Hey, Montana:

I felt the same when I had cats, but I guess that it is for the best. The worst, I think, comes with bringing dogs to be neutered...

I didn't feel bad about getting our Austin snipped, until he came home with staples in his scrotum. Then I felt horrid, but he has completely forgotten the event, and seems none the worse for wear.

I have no guilt feelings. Any cat/dog of mine is headed for a career in perpetual childhood and children should not have children.

Noddy, that's is a very good point!

But I did feel terrible when I took Nisse and Mysan back from the vet and they looked so miserable. But it was soon forgotten! :-)

How is little Cali, Montana?

Guilty? No.

Sorry that the little fella didn't feel grand for about a day after he got home, but not guilty. The alternative for him would not have been positive.

We just got her home and she's fine. She was very happy to see me when I showed up to pick her up at the vet. The poor thing is obviously weak and is sleeping now. This has been bothering me for a month now since I made the appointment and I'm just glad it's over. I think the worst thing for me was leaving her at the vet with her probably thinking I had abandoned her, since you can't tell them what's happening and that you'll be back for them. Well, you could, but they wouldn't understand, lol. Man, I'm just a real softy when it comes to my pets.

All is good though, and I bought her a new toy to play with when she's feeling better :-D

Montana--

A new toy....and some special little treats for din-din...and temporary rights to the softest chair.... Glad you're not feeling guilty any more.
