Why do you have to write and rewrite posts, pess? Can't you just use the "back" button?

Because every time I wrote something and pressed submit it told me I was not logged in and had to start all over. When I tryed to get back to it all it was was an empty writing space.

Hmm. Do you have the "log me in automatically" box checked like Jes said?

I've experienced slowness and losing new posts but not being logged off (yet, knock on wood), and I have that box checked.

Yes, I finally had to check it. It was the only way I could use it. I don't have the problem anymore because of it!

I have the problem on both puters - one with the button checked and the other not.

Can the people having problems say whether or not they have sp2 installed?

Also please note who is and is not using AOL.

Please note what browsers and any info you may have about cookie settings.

Craven, I do not have XP SP2 installed (yet). I am using IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2, however, if you look below in Help-About it says "Updates:; SP1....".

I don't use AOL - hate it. Set to accept cookies.

Craven, I just istalled SP2 - I'm a trial user here at work. Interestingly enough, my Internet connection seems much faster now.

Another nice thing about SP2 is that it uses IPSec and actually blocks ping. Thus, our ISS tools can't even find my machine to try and scan it for vulnerabilities. Schweet!

I've got SP2 installed on the puter at work, not the one at home.
Oddly (IMO) the work puter is the one that's having more problems with A2K. Very weird.

I'm having problems/delays with some A2K links. Having to refresh a lot to kick start things again. Anyone else experiencing these problems? I'm trying to figure out if it's my ISP or A2K.

I've been doing maintenance over the last few days, and have just rebooted to reflect the changes.

If more issues arise in the next few days please start a new thread to inform me.

I've also spec'ed a new set of servers, but need to coordinate the time and money to make the move.

This happened to me again this AM. I logged in, then almost immediately got logged off. The nasty thing about this is that you lose all of the update markers for your threads. Also, you lose all of the "new posts".
