Nietzsche - on critical thinking

I was wondering if there is a Nietzschean concept that has to do with critical distance or maintaining a critical distance (besides Apollonian/Dionysian dualism).

I will leave Nietzsche aside and just remark all thinking must be critical or is not thinking at all. And by critical I imply personal not borrowed.
