BROKAW FLUBS RUSSIAN TOWN NAME -- BIG TIME!

last night on the news NBC's tom brokaw, attempting to pronounce BUCHALKI, a town near moscow, stuttered and mispronounced it
"BOO-KAUKEE", making it sound like an obscene sex act.

i don't have a source yet; i heard it on the radio this morning.

its amazing to me that a guy with a speech impediment bothers to pursue a career as an anchorman.
doesn't it sort of defeat the purpose?
people who can't speak clearly should automatically be ineligible to do the news...
