Not enough people are passing science exams and/or interested in Scientific subjects in Great Britain that it is underminating Scientific research and future posterity.

Has this item of news come about after last week's A-Level results? Can you post a link to the source?

I did my A-levels 10 years ago, and there was a shortage of science students even then. Many kids these days are too lazy (?) to take eg. Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and would rather take eg. Media Studies, Theatre Studies and Sociology as they are seen as 'easier' by many, kids & teachers alike.

Is this something you have direct experience of yourself, Badboy?

Not enough Scientists being trained
It's something I have read in a newspaper, I myself am interseted in science.
