I just bought at my supermarket:
1) A grilled turkey patty @ $3.49/pound
2) Boar's Head Ovengold Sliced Turkey @11.99/pound
Why is there such a difference in price?

I imagine the patties make it easier to conceal bird parts that are technically part of the turkey, but which you otherwise would choose not to eat. Ground beef is cheaper than steak, and...

Ground beef is cheaper than steak, and probably for the same reason.
