So you start by assuming that Americans eat hamburgers for breakfast. That sounds as though you are not trying to find out, but that you already think you know. I doubt that very many Americans, if any, eat hamburgers fro breakfast.

I don't know any Americans that eat hamburgers for breakfast - it is more a lunch item.

Breakfast is typically cereal, pancakes, eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, maybe certain pastry items - but you should be able to find this out easily as you have a computer - simple go to google and type in typical American breakfast and there you go.

I think the thread originator might have seen one of the Burger King advertisements trumpeting "Now you can have a whopper 24 hours a day!" - evidently someone thought there would be demand.

There might be some amount of interest, for those who work the night shift. I've never worked the night shift, at least routinely, so I don't know. Once in a while I stayed up all night to finish a job on time, but I don't remember ever going home and eating a hamburger after that - but it might be something that people work that shift routinely would like, sort of like our dinner.

Where did you hear that Americans eat hamburgers for breakfast. Common foods Americans have for breakfast would include things like pancakes, waffles, toast, cereal, bacon, sausage, eggs, cream of wheat, oat meal, grits, ham, pop tarts, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
