I guess if I do have an NDE that I could subsequently describe it would mean that modern medicine pulled me back from the brink that God expected me to cross over.

Why the question is always: "Prove that God exists"!!!

In the same way I will ask: "Prove that God doesn't exist"!!
Could you??

How can one disprove an existence of a kind that never existed? You can't just come up with a speculation, one that you can't prove yourself, and challenge others to disprove it because you want to believe it. By your argument which is radically bogus, you can prove anything IF one can't disprove it. Of course there may not be anything THERE to disprove in the first place. So, how does one DISPROVE the non-existence of an entity that never existed, one for which even the most miniscule proof was never allocated? This total lack of evidence as to God's existence leads to complete stalemate and a very corrupt "prove me wrong" response. Personal speculations and wish fulfillment are simply not on the same level as working hard to "disprove" a scientific theory. It also goes into the deep-end of incomprehensibility as to why if there is a God, IT would NEED US to prove his existence in the first place. If you put God in the PERSONAL realm, He then exists in your heart exempt of objectivity, probability, proof or necessity of any kind, the "necessity" of His existence being in ourselves. Yet to many, God speaks in the SILENT majesty of an inter-galactic iceberg. But it is really us humans that speak FOR IT usually as THE ENDORSER of justification for actions that we as mere mortals are not qualified to "expound" ourselves and so we create a "Sacred Non-Entity" who doesn't talk back. If IT does exist maybe its on the very edge of an accelerating universe, trying to bronco bust a horse HE can't handle.

Modern medicine did not bring me back, I asked to come back.

No offense meant, but trying to explain God to the spiritually blind is like trying to explain colors to the physically blind.

You will understand when you are ready to understand. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

Well, don't let anyone accuse you of having tried.

Does God exist?

That IS the question. If you knew 100% that God did or didn't exist, how would that change who you are right now? If you knew for sure that God did exist, do you think that right now you are a good enough person? While we can't know for sure, can we really gamble eternity on this question? If I am right, and God does exist, then I will gain everything I have always wanted. If I am wrong, then what do I lose? The non-believer will lose the everything I will get if God does exist, but if they are right, and He doesn't exist, then in the end its all the same anyway, and lets all move on with our meaningless lives. If there is no existence beyond your death, then you will be gone forever and eventually forgotten. I mean, do you care about your great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather? No, and your great-great-great-great-great-great grand children won't care about you.

Some argue against God's existence because of Evil. God didn't create evil. He created all that is Good. Today, a lot of people lack this goodness and therefore they are evil. When someone gets murdered, do you really think God made that happen? I think He knows how hard it is to live without total communication with Him, and this world goes to show that. But He knows that if we can endure to the end, then we will get our eternal happiness. No one can really scientifically prove that God exist, but I think if you think about it logically for long enough, then you will come to the conclusion that He does exist.

Reading about the reputed imminent demise of Abuzz, I browsed my old interactions and read one of the best and longest Abuzz threads that I participated in. In it we discussed new ways of looking at the world, and I believe it was entitled "know thyself" or something along that line.

A person who went by the name of kuvasz1 entered these quotes:

"tut tvam asi"
It is ancient Sanscrit, from the Chandogya Upanishad, which says
"You are it" or "thou art that".

Here is Kuvasz1's own statement, which, in my opinion, brilliantly, and succinctly explains "Thou art that":

"That divinity which you seek
outside, and which you first become aware of because you
recognize it outside, is actually your innermost being."

When discussing whether god exists, it is easy to get mired down in the intellectualizing process or objectify god. It may be necessary to have some sort of mystical experience and transcend the self-identity that makes us objectify god. Unfortunantly, mystical experiance seems to be anathema to patriarchal religions.

What happened here? Did you pass over from another dimension or something? from Abuzzland, perhaps?
