I hear Muslim people in Malaysia use their mobiles to find mecca.
Does this happen in any other religions or cultures? and how is it done?
well, in judiasm you have to find jerusalem three times a day, but i don't see how you can do that with your phone. the easiest way to do it is by the sun (and anyway you usually pray in the same place so it isn't a problem). I saw wasn't a prayerbook that has a compass on it...
