N8 Culligan water treatment system

Just purchased a home with an N8 system in it. Never had a water treatment system before. Do not have a clue what to do with it. For example it currently has about 6 inches of salt in it. How much salt should be in it? What type of salt to use & where do I get it?
I need an owners/operation manual for it. Where can I get one or download one?
