this happened at our local RCMP station (the mounties) a few years ago :
the "mounties" had made a substantial drug bust and stored the drugs in the basement of the station, locked up and went home for the night ...
when they arrived next morning they noticed that someone had used a hacksaw to remove the bars from the basement windows, picked up the goodies and skedaddled ...
the mounties had red faces in addition to their red tunics ! hbg

Three sweet potatoes going into the oven.
Done and cooled.
In the fruh - sliced and fried
in a little bacon fat.

Baked potatoes one covered in sour cream and another smothered with melted cheddar cheese.


And maybe a third plain as can be with the skin crisped to that taste of perfection...

pecan waffles with homemade nectarine preserves - we were having a light lunch today ... but, we weren't so good at breakfast ... stopped at our danish deli on the way home from the pool ... gooseliver-sausage, tongue-sausage, smoked ham, ham salad, emmenthaler ... will have to do a few extra lenght tomorrow morning. hbg

Ahhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmm.

The last really good gooseliver I had was a big block of fat encasing the good stuff - from, of course, Ungar.
A nice gulash experience......... along the Amber Road.
