'In a forest of frost, in a dawn of cornflowers.'

Ryvitas are lovely packs of Rye-fused crispbread slices that come in five types.. all of which taste rather nutty in texture (but not like peanuts) and all of which are good for your health and without gluten, and with little fat... I can eat it no longer due to my intestines' not being able to process Rye, but it used to be my sustenance!

Marmite, however, tastes like bacon melted down to liquid form! Yack!

Ryvita does sound good! Maybe I'll have to pass on the Marmite!

You said you were going to Armenia?

corn on the cob!

Well, you could try, I guess; the first time that I tried it, it made me to get sick...

And, yes, I'm going there for a year; I'm taking sabattical from my job to write and do a few projects that I wanted to do! You should come visit! Very Happy

Oh, you're lucky! Personally, I don't like salt... but fresh corn on the cob cooked with a few dabs of fresh butter is just lovely...

The Mill on the Floss: for some stupid and incomprehensible idea, anything to do with corn or pastoral life in general reminds me of that book..

George Eliot, right?

Sounds like a travel digression coming up? I'd love to hear about your trip. I wish I could come with!

George Eliot, yes! Though my favourite novel of hers by far is Middlemarch; I find it glorious!

There will be one; due to my not having a permanent job, I'll be on A2K a lot more.. basically:

1) I'm going off helping with a trip to Santander for a week (July 3rd to 8th)
2) Then, I'm going from Santander to Paris or maybe somewhere else in France, and staying there until the 10th....
3) Then I'll stay with a Catalan relative of mine from the 10th until the 15th--

And from the 15th onwards, who knows where I'll go? It will end up in going to Armenia, hopefully.

You could visit; or we could have a Worldwide A2K gettogether in Armenia, I suppose!

Sounds marvelous! I love to travel, but don't get to do it much.

Shall we go from Middlemarch?

'Whan that Aprille with his shoures soote,
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote.'

I love to travel above everything; unfortunately, up until the age of 18, I wasn't allowed to go anywhere abroad, but this just got me wanting to travel even more... which I now do!

What a coincidence! (Or is it?) I hope that the two Geminis don't clash; how long have they known each other?
