I still retain some of my childhood distastes, starting with anything that wiggled or wobbled. It's amazing I learned to like spaghetti. Some time later I became much more open to different foods, but I still shy from eating cottage cheese, or even ricotta, in a dish. I still don't drink down a whole glass of white milk - that's from my years of sitting at the table until I finished my milk. I'll drink lots of kind of milk, but with chocolate in it, or will use it, like almond milk, in smoothies, when it becomes other than milk. Famously to myself, I shunned coffee since everybody was trying to help me like it by putting milk in it... finally tried it black. I still like black coffee, but have graduated to cappuccini and caffe lattes.
viva la differance, however you spell that.
Back to our poster, I agree protein as particularly useful.
