Yep. There are cup like depressions in caves that were chiseled or ground out much earlier that some consider art but you know, 'eye of the beholder'.

oops, the "venus" was Gravettian not Mousterian. Theres an even older piece of art from the Aurignacian (29 to about 40K (uncalibrated radioisotope years). This one is a real mind bender . It looks almost modern.

Very interesting, yes, very modern looking.
That's new, not the one I was thinking of at all. The one in my head was a likeness of an overweight woman with exaggerated sexual features. Will Google and see if I can find your example. .
