The situation re: Iraq is balanced on a tightrope. Do you feel war is inevitable ? Will the Bush/Blair axis pull the trigger or will Saddam bow down. Do you think Saddam and his country should be razed to the ground or should the UN take control and issue paper demands..

The United Nations' chief weapons inspector Hans Blix is to brief French and British leaders on Friday, as the inspections process in Iraq acquires a new sense of urgency.
The forthcoming meetings with French President Jacques Chirac and British Prime Minister Tony Blair follow the discovery on Thursday of what inspectors described as empty warheads designed to carry chemical weapons at a military storage area.

Blix: asking for more time for inspectors
Earlier, Mr Blix called on Iraq to do more to substantiate its claims that it has destroyed banned weapons, or risk a US-led war.

It seems the plot is spreading, with a UK cop ketting killed by a North African terrorist. Who's pulling his strings ?

I think indefinite inspections are mightier than the sword.

I agree as long as the inspectors remain and allowed to conduct unfettered inspections. Saddam will be unable to manufacture and store WMD's.

And more importantly unable to deploy them. He also knows that they would have to be pulled out if a war were to be launched so he'd not fear an imminent attack and do something stupid.
