A Star Trek-loving couple boldly tied the knot in the Canadian town of Vulcan, exchanging vows in English and Klingon.

Pamela and Ron Smith blasted off into married life at the space-themed Vulcan Tourism and Trek Station in Alberta.

The happy couple's strange sermon included the words, "You may now kiss the Klingon."

Well, will you look at this? Rick's only been back from vacation a little while, and badmouthing the Mericans already.

Here's how one says, "I do" in Klingon.

Girch grombak.

Hey, drom. I was impressed with Col man's test on A2K. (it came back negative, incidentally. Razz )

Those pictures were fantastic, Mr. Leeds.

I am too damn sorry to try and learn that picture creation thing, but I certainly do appreciate those who can.

Poem to the Vulcan couple:

May you live long and prosper,
May your ears always be pointed,
May your bliss be recorded in the roster
May your enterprises be anointed.

Grok!

drom, grok was from Strangers in a Strange land. It has been observed that Charles Manson copied his life style after that book. I'll need to refresh my memory on the content, however.

I've never heard of Strangers in a Strange land, and I probably never will get to read it, but Grok sounds so amusing. I wonder why it is that killers love such weird books? I always wondered why 'The Catcher in the Rye' was so taboo (and carried by many assasins.) I read the book when I was about fourteen within 24 hours of buying it, and didn't find anything objectionable, never mind anything crazy, about it.)

Have you seen the lists of most banned books in American schools?! It's ridiculous! 'Of Mice and Men,' 'The Grapes of Wrath' and 'I know why the caged bird sings' are all in the top 10, so are apparently worse than Madonna's 'Sex.'
