In our local Whole Foods, they sell something called "organic table salt".

What the heck "organic table salt" means is anyone's guess.

I think that's an urban myth, unlike the story of the CEO who was so into his speech about how the company was a giant organism that he didn't notice that he was dropping the "ni" every time he repeated the term. That story is true.

In marketing, organic salt is a term for table salt that is without additives like iodine or anti-caking agents. There exists a market for such a product.
