I go to the "search" function, and look for a post that was written by a member some time ago. I type in the member's name, and check "posts".
A list appears, but they are only the most recent posts.
When I check the next page, to access some earlier posts, I receive this message:

No topics or posts met your search criteria[/quote]
Why can't the earlier posts be accessed?
This is a bug within the core of the phpBB software that the phpBB authors have planned to eventually address. It does that for any users with over 10,000 posts.
It will be addressed in the future, but because of the technical nature of this bug (solving means significant change, and the bug is not critical) it is a low priority.
Craven- Thanks for the explanation!
Thanks Craven (but this happens to those "close to 10,000 posts" as well  )
Walter, the post counts are not entirely accurate (e.g pruned postings etc) and maybe those close, have actually posted over 10,000.
Maybe in the course of your membership, for example, you have over 38 deleted (from auto pruning of forums like the test forum as well as your own deletions) posts.
In my case it's because I really have 10,000 more posts than my post count says.
That might very well be true (those "38" deleted, I mean  ) and it is known (that you have thousands of more posts - still grinning about your 're-start'
)
i do believe CdK has fixed the problem.
i just took a glance at
dlowan's 1st post...
that was a fun little thread
i went back to the beginning - found myself
we had fun wandering around the echoing hallways, trying things out
heeehee - empty indeed they were...
Now like bloody Yoda I sound...
