How would you define Worship?

Worship can be the act of bowing down before another. Worship can be one's effort to live up to their part of a bargain. Worship can be the acknowledgment of one's own smallness. Worship can be the result of one's belief in hierarchy. But there is really no difference between any of these examples. They all reflect an acceptance of smallness. The question is: Who granted you your smallness?

I don't know how to define it, but I know when I do it. I only worship one thing:

Perhaps the reason for the silence here is that people may be realizing for the first time that they've never stopped to consider exactly what worship means to them.

More to the point, perhaps they've never considered the reason for the act of worship.
