Is God "Father Sky" and, Goddess" Mother Earth?"

I thought this would be an ideal thread for people looking for the physics or physique of God (or physique of Goddess for that matter) I am a Christian and have often been asked what the physique of God is. ------------------------------------------------------------I know from a general academic understanding of God is male immortality, otherwise a male is just a mere mortal. The antonym is Goddess or female immortality. ------------------------------------------------------------As a Christian I am aware that Christianity is not about the physique of God, but rather the spirit or psychology of God. But Christianity has a term referring to God as "Heavenly Father" which is the same as "Sky Father". I know there's nothing magical about the "sky" other than we need it to exist and to stay alive. ------------------------------------------------------------I think if there was no sky the universe would consist only of solid metal. No open space for a sky anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------ I'm familiar with the term "Mother Earth" beacause it has always been a popular term in todays modern world. The earth has always symbolised a female and the sky a male. Could they really be the parents of all life or just a metaphoric romanticism? I did google this idea and wikipedia said it was an old polarity concept between male and female. ------------------------------------------------------------As a Christian I am aware that the male is always the head of his family if he is honourable and righteous. One must never assume that God can be dishonourable, therefore he is the head of all creation. ------------------------------------------------------------As Christian I know that the biblical quote stating that man is made in the image of God means that the maleness of a man comes from God. Every other male specie is also made in the image of God. It is not a secret code saying man is a God, like some people have proclaimed. God is the male of all males, Father of all Fathers. ------------------------------------------------------------I did tell FBM that I think the physique of God is the Sky, he said prove it. I thought do I really have to prove the sky is male, and that it is immortal? ------------------------------------------------------------ If the subject was the opposite where I said; I think the physique of Goddess is the Earth. Would I really have to prove the earth is female, and that it is immortal. Most of my life I've heard the earth is female as in Mother Earth, do I really have to prove this common gender idea? Would I also have to prove the immortality of the Earth? All I know is that if you compared the age of the earth to the age of the human specie, the age of our specie would not even be a tickle next to the age of the earth. The word negligible would be a more appropriate comparison. ------------------------------------------------------------I somehow get the impression from other A2k threads that you have to prove that God is magical before your evidence is accepted as fact, which I think is rather childish. ------------------------------------------------------------The only realistic magic i know of is good health, hard work and positive thinking.

Say what? What are you trying to say? If anything, you seem to be a rather earnest fellow, and you seem to be sincere. But you need to structure what you want to inquire about, or bring more structure in your theories, because this opening post, not even taking the jarring minus sign lines that should REALLY be paragraphs, your opening post just makes no sense. You start on the physique of God, and then dart to several different subjects, including universes made of solid metal, a fair bit of misogyny, and a flawed view of immortality.

I'll just stick to the opening bit:

Here you go:
God on the right

You ought to look at the chap on the right here. Not that I'm sure that this is the physique of God, of course, but Michealangelo's guess is as good as any, I reckon.

@najmelliw,
I don't think it was hard to understand. All the points I included were relevant to the discussion from what I know. However, you are at liberty to think what you will.

@Amoh5,
My eyes glazed over at the sight of your creative formatting. Paragraph breaks would be a kindness to those inclined to read.

As far as the physique of god is concerned, when I was younger I had huge arms and my nickname was Zeus. However, as soon as I attempted to assert authority over my subjects, I was pummelled with pumpkins. (It was about this time of year and other fruits were too expensive.) I have since come to realize that my navel gave me away. (So much for the naked approach.) But now I have forsaken any chance, as my body has become more reminiscent of a beached whale than of an ancient diety.

Hope that helps.

@neologist,
The lack of paragraphing is due to the incapability of my Nokia E5-00 mobile phone which I am using online. Joe sixpack informed me about this last month and the only way I can separate points of discussion is to use the hyphen key to create a line of separation. Sorry for the inconvenience. I've tried every trick I can think of. ------------------------------------------------------------ It seems to me you had quite a creative imagination when you were younger, so are the days of our lives.

I was hoping for more positive and humanistic replies, rather than the wannabe scientist or psychiatrist replies. I am a Christian and I'm not at all amused by any sad depressing lab rat and i-robot ideals. Like I've often stated I don't claim perfection over any human being whatsoever but there is a fine line between respectful and disrespectful discussion. If any individual on A2k just wants to play the game of I know it all and you are a moron, I will treat them accordingly. I value human life, not human morbidity. I wish yous all a good day and happy discussion hunting
