deb -

't's a shame you don't have a stickshift. when my ankle was fractured it was a great excuse to get driven everywhere, and drink and drink and drink. (only problem was, after all the drinking i had a lot of trouble doing stair with crutches and/or hopping -- but big drunken falls are great entertainment, and it was like repaying people for their help.)

Ahem.....aside from impressing 'the boys' with a manual transmission.....

My left ankle is good-for-nothin most of the time ~ I never gave it a second thought when I bought my car.....Wish I had now.

How was your day
Thanks for asking Smile

My day started out quiet, the weather warm, letting the cats out for the day,
then my neighbors dog decided visiting.

Cats running everywhere, the dog in his glory, my neighbor apologizing profusely <with a twinkle in his eye> and Ms Bella dashing past and in one leap climbing a pine tree. The rest of the "kids" scrambling for safety.

After the cats were all safely in the house again, I drove to town, visited the dollar store <I love that store> bought kitty treats, and drove home.

Received a new tutorial from resident computer genius, the cats are all safely indoors, with dinner and a movie awaiting.

A really good day!

I swore infront of the little human tape recorder. And it was a good one too. Oy. At least her parents swear on occasion too.

Thanks ~ a good day makes it all worth the effort doesn't it Smile

Generally mountain weather is cold, snowy, and rainy in January. Past few days degrees in the 70's!

Rae

Girl, you gotta visit the dollar store!

How WAS my day???? Well for one thing, it began
yesterday morning and here I am at 7:25am, still
awake. I have been doing a lot of varied things
whilst I suffer from my insomnia... no doubt, within
an hour or two I shall pass out and sleep for a few
hours uninterrupted, I hope.
Actually, yesterday was an exceptional day in one
way!! My eldest daughter and I have been not
getting along very well at all....so after the last
time she got angry and hung up the phone, I let
her have her simmer down time - but then I insisted
that we discuss this hanging up, and not talking
through it thing. I told her that if she notices me
doing "whatever it is that so upsets her" ALL SHE
HAS TO DO IS TO TELL ME : "You're doing it again,
Mom," there is not even any reason for her to get
angry. I am who I am, I tend to worry more about
her kids than she does....so I think that we have
reached a place that I would have thought IMPOSSIBLE
about 2 weeks ago. IT IS REALLY A MIRACLE - OF
THE MOST IMMENSE PROPORTIONS..... I honestly do
believe that we have managed to come to an agreement!
My letting her know, that I KNOW that what I do just
aggravates her at times, seemed to help to make her
feel validated. So, we actually had a very nice chat and
then I talked with my darling 6yr old Jade ( he has now
lost 3 teeth!! - SINCE XMAS) He was excited and in
a great mood, and it was just wonderful to hear him
sounding so happy, and he is counting the days until
we go up to visit at the end of this month. WOW, if that
isn't the biggest weight off my shoulders!! So, hey,
Thanks for asking how my day was!!!!

Great! Started out not too good because it's full moon which means Nisse the cat doesn't sleep but talk all night long. So I didn't get a lot of sleep either. Had breakfast, read the newspaper, left for a 'ki class'. This was very interesting, fun and enlightening (did I invent that word right now? I hope not). Watched a movie this afternoon with husband by my side. Chatted on the phone with a my best friend. Will go to the restaurant in about an hour for some nice Italian food and a glass of wine. Couldn't be any better :-)

Yesterday was less than wonderful - cold wind and cloudy all day long. This day I awoke to beautiful sunshine, took Bean for a long walk and am looking forward to this day being great.

Lonely, but thanks for asking. My husband went down to our place in Florida to oversee some tile work. I will join him in a couple of weeks after going to a couple of too long put off doctor's appointments. Thank heaven for the cats and the dog!

I was in a really disgusting mood today. So I went out to Blockbuster, and bought myself some DVDs. They are having a 30% off sale on pre-viewed
titles. (That's 30% off on the pre-viewed price). It made me so sad that movies like A Beautiful Mind and Amelie were in the close out rack for 6.99+ 30% off.

Why was I sad? Two reasons. One that I had paid a lot more for them, a few month's ago. Two, that such great movies are not appreciated, and end up in the lowest price closeout bin. You should have seen the junk that they were selling used at 14.99 + 30%!
