By me (SCoates).

A flight to Europe

First we went to Germany (a fine start to our trip),
Where a kindly man inquired of us if we had come by ship.

On second thought, the man (perhaps) was not really THAT kind,
But in comparison to Russia ANYTHING brings peace of mind.
Why?
When we were there, dispite the heat, the locals served us chai.

Spain was third, and served to us the best food you can find.
So our discomfort THERE was not the drinks, but more in what we... nevermind.

Travelling to the fourth (and last) place on our tour,
We took the LONG way past a scenic point (which was worth it well, I'm sure).

The last place that we visited was actually the first,
(We had to leave from the same airport since we paid for a round-trip ride)
But that part of our visit was really not the worst,
You see, it looked completely different, since we approached from the opposite side.

wheee, this seems to be one of the only unsolved riddles around, so I guess I need to try. a four letter word? the first and last letters are the same, or maybe opposites since its from the other side, like b and d or p and q or something... ok now its time to say random things that are not the answer.

first germany has 2 lines so thats b
last stanza has 4 and thats d which is the opposite of b
that and anything are capatalized in russia, 12 letters making it L
and in spain, there has 5 letters, e

the answer is BLED! that made no sence yay =[
atleast it isn't lonely anymore

may I ask how many letters are in the word? or atleast whether its 4,5, or more? or if its only one word?

I like the bd thing and have been looking for reasons to get a b from the first line. last word: ship, boat starts with b. chai is a tea, but bt is not a very promising letter combination =\ I think I am getting nowhere

How many letters would be very decieving, as the clues are to syllables. I hope that's not too big of a clue.
