Do thiests think that the devil knows the prophecies about the end times ?

If the devil has the knowledge that after all those prophecies are fullfilled he will be defeated and tortured or destroyed forever, what drives him foward to hurry the process? What prevents him from NOT acting his part ?

Maybe the truth is that the devil will win and rule over this world with an iron hand. God will be destroyed and evil will run rampant. Damn! That would suck!

Satan’s motive?

To destroy God’s creation. God loved the world so greatly, He gave His only begotten Son into the hands of His creation, to be sacrificed as a blood offering for our sins. Just as a criminal who when gets caught hates the law, or person who judges him, so does Satan react in a similar way. If that criminal was to pay with his life, and if it where possible, the criminal would destroy the house of the judge and kill his family for self-gratification.
