On my girlfriends recent friends list on Facebook it said 3 recently added friends but then when I go and look at it only 2 friends show up.this has happened twice recently.I have asked her about it and she says she doesn't know why this Is...it must be a Facebook fault..Is this possible or is there another possible explanation for this

It's not Facebook's 'fault' at all. One of the friends has stricter privacy controls on her account. That's all.

Someone suggested to me that she was adding friends and hiding them from me

Nope - but if you don't trust your girlfriend, don't blame Facebook for that.

She has checked it on her own Facebook profile and it's the same....says 3 friends recently added and only two show up...so it's hidden to her too

Then, as I said, it's the friend's privacy settings, and nothing more.
