Going to be in Amsterdam and Berlin in October - anyone going to be there

I'm glad I didn't have a shovel when I was last in Amsterdam - reduces the temptation somewhat!

While cleaning out some luggage recently, I found an Amsterdam tram ticket strip - with couple of trips still on it - should I keep it? Probably dates back 10-15 years!

They changed the tariffs and those strip cards at least twice during the last few years. Yours still in Gulden? [That should be, if it's from pre-2002].

Last time I was in Amsterdam you paid for one ticket which gave unlimited travel over a time period, 24 hours, 48hours, 72 hours etc. I doubt yours would still be valid, but it's still a souvenir.

They don't sell Strippenkaarts since 2011 anymore but OV kaarts (a kind of chip, which has to loaded with a certain amount of Euros).
And actually, all tickets are paperless since last year.

Those tourist cards, mentioned by izzy above, are excellent for a short visit, not only in Amsterdam but elsewhere, too.
