help please.
my wife is canadien and we would like to know is we are eligible for medicare in the us

Neither? Well Canada is more civilized and has Universal Health Care like the other developed countries. The United States Congress still thinks health care is only for people who can afford it. I live in the US, but I'd rather have the Canadian health plan. Your child will have duel citizenship, but you need to check a US consulate where ever you about what assistance you can apply for in the US, preferably before you pick a country to reside.

Thanks for the answer. So if we have the baby in Canada it will have dual citizenship automatically?

I can't swear to the Canadian citizenship, but I'm fairly sure it's similar to the U.S., your baby could be born on a cruise ship and it should still have duel citizenship. But I have to defer to our Canadian friends on Canadian citizenship.
