To celebrate Montana's much-deserved and long-delayed triumph in court, I've decided to throw a party for her.

To hell with the expense...as Montana and the judge were stringing up her good-for-nothing, lying, cheating, deadbeat ex-husband, I managed to catch his wallet as it fell out of his pocket. No expense shall be spared!

For Montana and the other beer drinkers, there are 47 beers on tap at the bar to the left. For myself and the other wine drinkers, I have filled the pool with champagne.

Cav, can you bring the food? We'll need to find out what Montana's favorites are.

Bi-Polar Bear, can you provide the band? We'll want something appropriately raunchy, I think. But something we can dance to.

C'mon everybody, LET'S PARTY!!!

Okay Bear, and be sure to wear the leopard-print spandex tights. Gotta love those...especially with the zucchini.

Onyxelle...be sure to bring lots of flowers, okay? Spare no expense...it's on the deadbeat's dime.

How about a cheeseboard--wheels, not wedges.

Lots of lox--both wild and domesticated salmon.

What does Montana fancy--aside from rawhide of tightwad, simmered long and slow?

Oh boy! I'll be there, with a lampshade on my head! Cool
Very good of you Eva. I hope you meant 47 different kinds of beer, because if it's only 47 beers they'll be gone before Montana arrives!
Yay Montana!

I'll bring Marcella Hazan's ragu with tagliatelle and a few bottles from Coppola's california vineyard (A2ker's had a nice time at the coppola cafe in SF). For the vegetarians I'll bring some farfalle with spinaci con ricotta, limone, and parmigiano. For adkins addicts, I'll bring, um, thinking...
some daniele prosciutto wrapped around california cantalope (I don't want to hear if cantalope is bad too) and a plate of fresh favas with fresh pecorino.

Also, I'll provide the picnic tables and and assortment of giant pillows.

Borrowing Bear's idea, I've spent a long time duct taping a carrot to my leg. I've stood in front of the mirror, but the carrot wasn't visible.

So, I stood on a chair, hooked by overalls to a beam on the ceiling, and jumped off the chair. Aha! Now I can see the carrot!

Ready to party.

No, it is a common term for a product with some blades and various speeds made by companies such as Osterizer, and Waring. and probably a bunch more company names.

Thinking, thinking, I should probably pack some ice too.

Oh, definitely LIVE music...Bear's new band, Rock of Ages! Of course, if BPB wants to do karaoke, too, that's up to him. Whatever he does, you know it will be entertaining.

Yes, yes, I meant 47...or 50...different kinds of beer on tap. Starting with Guinness, which I hear Montana has just learned to appreciate.

This party is definitely shaping up. Now...gifts. Hmmm. What shall we get her?

Well, now that I heard an old friend sing on my car radio yesterday, I'll bring his band too, Marley's Ghost. Back with a link in a bit.

(When I knew him he was a history teacher with a vast knowledge of california history, who worked with us on an LA bicentennial project.) He was a keen musician and still is.

Here's an amazon a2k link -Marley's Ghost

I only heard the band once, on the lawn next to their house - it was an expansive lawn, with a flat wood deck, trees and skyline, and the damndest fiddles you ever could hear. I never forgot it.

My old friend is Jon Wilcox. I think there is a new cd, which must have been what I was hearing.. it was on the pbs station, KHSU, maybe other's heard it. I was busy parking and dealing with Pacco and other guests coming up to my car window, but was, in the meantime, thrilled to hear his voice.

Not to provide competition to bpb, but to add...

Hey, has anyone seen my package opener?

http://www.worsleyschool.net/funroompic6.JPG

I've looked all over the damn farm and can't find it anywhere? Did someone from A2K borrow it and forget to bring it back?

I'm more than a little pissed here. Someone is going to get their ass kicked. Big time.
