I was checking out one of the pearls of wisdom of gustavratzenhofer, the philosopher of A2K. All of a sudden, out of the blue, an ad for Febreze scrolls down over Gus' immortal words, and I am faced with an ad for some cockamamie product.
Now I have seen these types of ads before, on other websites. Usually, there is either a place to "X" it out, or it scrolls back quickly. This one stayed over Gus' pearls of wisdom, for what I perceived was an interminable amount of time, before it went back from whence it came.
Wassup??
I thought, by your title, that Febreze was a new member!
Yes I know I look good this morning, tried out a new mousse and I'm-workin'-it!
Could this be a philosophical sign from the heavens to keep his words sweet smelling?

You saw an advertisement. The good news is you probably made the site 5/100ths of a cent with that sacrifice.
PS - Hellifino what I'm supposed to be helping with here, lemme know if you had something in mind.
maybe someone was trying to tell Gus "Hey!! That post stinks"!! Not like that's imaginable....
Well, I've never seen it.
If it was triggered by rollover then it's ok. Even if it's not it's bot really in the really hated category.
Keeping them out both takes a lot of time and reduces the means for monetization, I'm inclined not to take issue with it based on your description. I'll have a look later though.
It might just have needed to lose "focus".
Clicking on a part of the page away from it might have done so.
As long as it was passive and activated by you (as opposed for going for the open-the-trenchcoat-on-em-quick thing) I'm fine with it.

OMG... Whoa... dude... Have you figured out what you're gonna do with the cash?
Bill, consider the fact that there have been over 10 million advertisements on this site in the last week alone.
You do the math.
That, along with his web cam busines is making Craven a very wealthy man.
Perhaps sarcasm is best left out of this particular equation.
GRRR
I'm down a grand right now (will be 1.5 midway through the month) because of this bloody site.
Who wants to have their way with Gus for 1.5 big ones?
