How do I know if a baby product of mine is being recalled?

Hi fellow moms!

I am an angry mommy right now because I have bought several baby products such as strollers and cribs that have been recalled for lead poisoning and I have had no way of knowing! Does anyone know of a website or app that I can use that will alert me when what I have bought is being recalled?? Also, I know that there are websites that post recalls but that is not convenient because there are thousands of recalls and I don't have the time to scroll through all those just to see if any items I own are on there!

Sincerely,
Angry mommy

@alanaburks,
Erm, excuse me, but if you had no way of knowing, how do you know that your things are recalled because of lead poisoning?

Usually, any major recall, and possibility of lead poisoning would make it a major recall, would appear as adverts in Newspapers, and items on TV News shows.

In addition to this you always have google.

@alanaburks,
Have you tried listings in Consumer Reports magazine or their online website?
Furthermore, all you need to do is Google your query:

The first listing when I did that query, I got the following:

@Ragman,
I'm pretty sure we have a Government website in the UK regarding this sort of thing, with companies obliged to enter details of any recall.

Maybe the US Government has such a site?

@Ragman,
Sorry Raggers, didn't see that one. I was probably too busy googling my wotsit.

Mind you, mine also covers such stuff as snow shovels and mountain boots, so if Mums are out there and thinking of taking their toddler mountaineering, my list will really come in handy.

@Lordyaswas,
Hi, after 4 months of using the product my friend had told me it was recalled. And it is not convenient to go google every single product I ever buy my children. Trying to be realistic here.

I suspect someone will be along shortly to give a spam link to an app that solves the problem she finds too inconvenient to solve with a website.
