Phone smashed, new phone, how do I access Facebook?

Hi. I obliterated my phone falling down the stairs (I know) and now have a new phone and phone number. I have only ever logged into Facebook on my phone. When I try to log into the Facebook app, or use any other browser, it says that I need to verify who I am before I can login. The options are to receive a text (not possible because new phone), use the Facebook app to gain a code (again, obviously, not possible) or approve from another device (again, not possible as I've only ever logged in on my phone in the last 3 years). I know my username, password, have access to my email account etc but I can find no way of managing to log in, on my phone OR on computer. The only option is sending Facebook a load of ID and card details etc which I'm not prepared to do. I'm just amazed that Facebook could be this hard to access when I have everything, all the login info etc. Can anyone help?
