The average number of children born/woman in the Middle East is 3.3, not 6 as same assume.
The average in Europe is 1.48 children/woman. At number 1 is the Faroe Islands with 2.24 children/woman, followed by Albania (2.22). The Netherlands is number 17 (of a total of 44 European countries) with 1.65 children/woman. At the bottom are the Czech Republic (1.18 children/woman) and Bulgaria (1.13 children/woman).
Of the ten countries with the lowest fertility rate, nine are European (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Andorra) and one Asian (Singapore). Of the ten countries with the highest fertility rate, nine are African (Somalia, Niger, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Chad, Angola, Burkina Faso and Liberia) and one Asian (Yemen). Of the 224 countries in the world, the first European one can be found on no. 128 (Faroe Islands; excluding with this Israel, which is no. 110 with 2.50 children/woman).
The global average is 2.65 children/woman.
