We all have opinions and the right to express them however we chose. Personally, I think this is an over-reaction...but that's just one man's opinion.
As a side-note, I'm Jewish and see nothing wrong with mentioning the movie, the title or any reference. It's not as though if someone mentions such a movie they're endorsing Nazi-ism or trivializing the Holocaust.

@Kolyo,
I'm with you Kolyo. I was horrified when I saw the thread title.
...and, even more importantly, as nearly I can estimate from my observations and experience of Tsar, he would not intentionally post something that was insensitive to holocaust survivors. ... even by accident.
As a Jew, I've members of my family who were victims of Nazis and I'm not offended.

Thanks Ragman. I didn't mean the pun to be ... meanspirited or crass.
As I wrote, previously, you've done no harm, in my eyes.
Many comedians as well as SNL TV show, have gone much further and far more explicitly and with less innocence, with no harm. Well, perhaps some have...I won't go that far.

It didn't dawn on me to take the title as awful, but then I never read the book or saw the movie. I was off to see those animated characters, and thought, eat them? ugh.
Now that I think about it, I can see Kolyo's and Beth's point of view, but it's not mine, and I know Tsar wouldn't have meant it that way. It was simply word play, a mode I get into myself. Kolyo's alternative was funny though.

... but are you HORRIFIED?

Well, what the heck, that's good enough for me!
really?
well I'll throw an opinion the other way - our family lost people in the concentration camps and I was (as I noted) horrified by the thread title - still am - it's going on ignore so I don't have to see it again
We agree to disagree and clearly have a difference of opinion but I've no quarrel. I wish you well.

You're placing me on ignore because of one measly poorly-worded punny thread title? You know you can always thumb it down if you don't want to see it anymore.

@tsarstepan,
Well, even though you failed to mentionuhlate him, from the Piglet movie
(since Pooh Bear is in the image) I think I'd choose to dine on tasty roasted bear! Who hasn't been tempted by a big succulent bear?

@Ragman,
Same as you on this Ragman. Although I'm only partially Jewish (well,full if following Judaism and their beliefs), the title didn't bother me in the least. Fact is that I hadn't even put the association together.
